Indian ed-tech platform Leverage Edu receives funding from ETS among others

Indian education services provider Leverage EdTech Pvt Ltd, which operates the platform Leverage Edu, announced that it has raised INR 3.20bn (USD 40mn) in its Series C round of funding led by American assessment and educational assistance company Educational Testing Service (ETS), VCCircle reported.

Amaya Ventures also took part in the present round along with existing shareholders DSG Consumer Partners, Blume Ventures Advisors, and Kaizenvest.

The buyers' aggregate investment is equivalent to a 26.66% stake, based on Leverage Edu's post-money valuation of USD 150mn.

With the transaction, the target entity will be able to further scale up its geographical operations and market presence across Australia and United States regions.

Leverage Edu is a platform that offers courses and university finder, personalized student counselling, and media content. It had reported revenues of INR 1.10bn (USD 13.38mn) for FY 2023. The firm was founded in 2017.

Educational Testing Service (ETS) offers a wide range of educational testing and assessment products and services including TOEFL and TOEIC tests, GRE General and Subject Tests, Praxis Series assessments, and CET1 by Certified English Services test.
